Associations Forum National Conference - ASI exhibiting

ASI is participating as an exhibitor at the Associations Forum National Conference being held in Melbourne today and tomorrow at the new Melbourne Convention Centre on the southbank. There are approx 300 delegates attending the two days with about 30 or so exhibitors. The first break this morning has some good traffic through with a few current iMIS customers saying hi and a few prospects showing interest - all very promising! We're focusing on Social Networking and running a short survey on social media and also encouraging prospects to sign up for our next round of Software Selection Luncheons (www.advsol.com/ap/share). Here are some photos of ASI's exhibit stand at the conference - taken this morning (yes the sun was shining in Melbourne!!).

Hootville's Fireside Chat - Web 2.0 for NFPs

Yesterday I attended a Fireside Chat that was brought together by Hootville Communications (http://www.hootville.com/events.shtml) - the topic was Web 2.0 for NFPs. A topic that is obviously hot for many of the Gen Y working at NFPs - there was a great turnout of maybe 100 people or so - young professionals working in NFPs in Comms/Marketing/Fundraising areas. There was a smattering of iMIS customers in attendance. I noted Diabetes Vic, Plan, NESA, Environment Vic, Carers Vic, Berry Street, Marie Stopes, CCV amongst the attendees.

The fireside chat was held in the delightful (ok..kitch) surrounds of the Greek Orthodox Church Hall in Prahran.
