Inside ASI-AP

At ASI the health and wellbeing of our employees is very important to us and I am pleased to announce that we will be commencing our Corporate Health Program next week.

Our co-ordinator for the program will be Jen Bates from Active Lifestyle Specialists and she will be visiting our office on Thursday and Friday of next week (March 8 & 9).

The program will commence with an individual assessment which will help to identify any areas you feel you would like to improve (ie, high blood pressure, stress, weight, cholesterol, posture, nutrition, general fitness etc). During this assessment Jen will take down measurements and information about you that will remain confidential – this is only necessary so that you can track your progress. She will also help you to set some goals and plan actions that will help you to achieve those goals. The assessment will take up to an hour and an appointment is required – please reply to this email and indicate a preferred time between the hours of 8am and 3.30pm on either Thursday or Friday of next week.

Following the assessments, once a month Jen will visit the office on a Thursday at lunchtime to give us an informative health talk which will cover various topics – this will be in the form of a brownbag lunch. Jen will also be available at this time to answer any questions you may have regarding your health plan.

In addition to this, we will be running a weekly activity class – initially this will be Pilates – which will take place in our office on a Wednesday evening from 5.30pm commencing on March 14. Jen will also be taking this class and she is happy to change the activity as time goes on if that is what is requested by the majority of participants.

All the activities in this program are being funded by ASI so I hope you will all take advantage of this to get fit and have fun!
