Colin's Eleventh week in US

Week 11

This week there was a lot more iMIS 15 tasks including, attending the pricing committee meeting and working with Carol/Marty/Edward on the process for distribution and announcement.

Our current plan is to provide customers with an information sheet with their upgrade information. This information sheet will detail their iMIS10 licence, their proposed iMIS15 licence and any payment required to migrate this licence to Named Users. It is also proposed that we should develop a web page that the primary contact can view and also find out pricing for upgrading users. This would not be an invoice. A factor that will complicate this is the international currencies/pricing.

There was an American Sales webcast this week (staff/AiSPs) and I presented the Customer Care strategy to provide clear information of the expectations of CC interaction with all customers going forward.

Personally it was also an active week. Brian Lindsay was in town and staying at the condo to provide eCM and iMIS15 training. There was a lot of staff in town for the training so we had dinner out a couple of times. Went to O’Connells Irish Pub for dinner with the ASI consulting staff in training on Wednesday – Deanna Hudson, Nick Srdarev, Cory Irvin, Sarah Hoddinott and Brian. On Thursday Carol Behm and Sarah joined Brian and I for Thai delivery on the condo balcony – picture attached.

On the weekend, I went for another reasonable length ride (mental note – bring odometer next time) out to Rock Creek trail. This trail takes you past the National Zoo. I have been to two zoos in the US (Chicago and DC) and both are free – cool. I walked my bike through and looked the animals – saw an emu and couldn’t see the wallaby. The prime show here is the Giant Pandas but they were out of site by the time I got there at 6pm. I like to take pictures of things that amaze me – see attached a picture of a Hot Dog vending machine? No I didn’t have one :) but I wasn’t the only person to take a picture of it.

Sunday was quiet – I just walked down to King Street for breakfast and even lunch (separate walks). It was a beautiful summer day with a bit of a cool breeze. This was my last weekend in Alexandria as next week I will be interstate.

This coming week I will be interstate visiting customers in Toronto with Linda and Austin with Fernando. I will be back in the Alexandria office July 2, for my last week in the US. Then one week holiday before back in the Melbourne office July 16.
