Sales Product Training schedule for second half of 2007

The schedule for Product Training for the entire sales and marketing teams has been set for the remainder of 2007.

We have changed the format of this training from being quarterly, on-site training in Melbourne (which we did last year every quarter when David Riffle was visiting), to a more regular, shorter session delivered via Sonnexis. Some of these have been recorded and you are required to watch in your own time, others - including those set for the remainder of the year - are scheduled 1-2 hour interactive sessions delivered via Sonnexis. We decided to change the format this year for a number of reasons: to have more frequent sessions to more quickly address questions and other matters relating to the iMIS 15 release this year; to make better use of David's time when he is here doing sales calls instead of being a trainer; and to save travel/accomm costs.

Attendance at these sessions for all staff in New Business, Customer Care, Marketing and Product Marketing is mandatory (and will be reflected in your SMART STEP Training Plan). AiSP staff will also be invited to attend. Other ASI'ers are welcome to attend as they need to, provided there is an understanding the primary goal of the session is sales level training as opposed to technical/implementation training.

The upcoming schedule is as below. The session times are Fridays from 12.30pm. Feedback is welcome on the time if this does not suit. Marla will be sending reminders as they come due. Any feedback on the content please send to Jay.

20 July - Customer Portfolio - general
17 August - Customer Portfolio - Additional Windows, Activities and Lookup/Validation Tables
31 August - Communication options (informZ, Mail Merge, iEmail)
14 September - Intelligent Query Architect
28 September - Events
TBD - Education (CPD and Certification)
TBD - Billing
TBD - Duplicate Merge Manager
TBD - EFT

The pre-recorded sessions are all available on the Sales Portal. A total of eight iMIS 15 sales training webcasts were recorded. These eight one-hour webcasts provide an A-Z road-map for selling iMIS 15:

  • Learning the new features in iMIS 15.0
  • Understanding the three views of iMIS 15 (delivered in three separate webcasts)
  • Delivering an iMIS 15 powerpoint presentation
  • Configuring an iMIS 15 demo
  • Delivering an iMIS 15 demo
  • Pricing an iMIS 15 proposal (included draft iMIS 15 pricing and an explanation of the different functionality in the three iMIS views)

Each webcast has been recorded and uploaded to the SalesNet along with the powerpoint and other relevant documentation. To view the webcasts you must download the latest Webex player. To access these webcasts visit here.

We are working hard on the training to deliver excellence - SMART Company. This is a competitive advantage for us.

SMART STEP points are awarded for both listening to the pre-recorded webcasts and attending in-person the scheduled webcasts. Don't forget to log your points request form. The majority of ASI'ers in the sales/marketing teams will have 22.5 points of product sales training in their 2007 SMART STEP Training Plan.
