New 3 year sponsorship agreement signed with FIA

We have now signed a 3 year sponsorship agreement with the FIA (www.fia.org.au), the Fundraising Institute of Australia. While we have been principal corporate sponsors for a few years now, it has only ever been on a year to year basis. This year, we have signed for 3 years, which actually works out better for both of us.

This is a 6 figure sum for us over the 3 years, so it is a substantial investment in the fundraising profession and sector generally.

The sponsorship includes the usual ASI branding on all printed and electronic materials, website home page, chapter invitations, etc.

New for this year is the "organisational membership" category of the FIA, which allows organisations to join the FIA and nominate senior executive contacts - more info here. What it means for ASI is access to CEO's and senior executives of fundraising organisations.

We are continuing to sponsor the Fundraising Leadership Program (FLP) and Madison Down Under (MDU). Both of these are premiere education events for fundraisers and link in well with our SMART Company theme and investment in professional education.

FIA will continue to provide coverage of the ASI SMART Company Scholarship Fund in all of their professional education.

And FIA will continue to use iMIS, iMIS Content Manager and Informz for iMIS to run their business. They are becoming heavy users of Informz and have just opened up again this year online renewals for membership.

Over the past years of FIA sponsorship, we haven't done a great job of leveraging our involvement. In fact, few of you probably even know we sponsor FIA. Even little things like using the FIA logo on our materials, including it in proposals - we don't currently do. But we are going to fix all those things this year!
