Inaugural IT round table eventWe held our very first IT round table event on Thursday 13 September. For me, I believe it is the best event we’ve run ever. And most of the delegates that attended agreed with strong agreement recorded on the feedback survey. The IT round table was modelled after the annual Executive round table which we have run for 5 years now. The Executive round table is an invitation only event to our largest 10-15 customers, and for the past 2 years the customer executives at that function have suggested that we run a similar round table event specifically for their CIOs/IT managers. So we did - we invited the CIOs and IT Managers from our largest customers and hosted them in our Melbourne boardroom. We had customers fly in from NZ, Perth, Sydney and Canberra. The overall format for the day was a buffet lunch, followed by an afternoon of sessions, and then a dinner at the RACV Club private wine cellar dining room. In the sessions we covered the iMIS 15 three year roadmap, an overview of the iBEF program and then live demonstrations of Mobile iMIS, web services, iMIS SOA (Services oriented architecture) and Sharepoint integration. Like the Executive round table, Mick surveyed each of the delegates in advance on what keeps them awake at night, and then this was used for the basis of a feedback session that kept going over dinner. Overall a great day, and particular recognition to Mick, Jay and Marla for making it such a success.
