Singapore trip - Chris Tan introduction

Last week, on my first trip to Singapore this year, I finally got to meet Chris Tan, the director of TAK Systems, our Singapore AiSP (and previous training posts here and here).

Chris is a few years younger than me, but we have a lot in common in our careers so far. Like me, he was running a small IT business during his years at university; and like me, he also studied engineering (robotics). After completing his studies, he built up his business into a full time job and has never looked back.

Keith and I spent a good part of the day and night with Chris on Wednesday 3rd October in Singapore. He was a very gracious host, feeding us well (yum cha and pepper crab) too.

As we reviewed our agenda for the Friday events, what really impressed me was Chris’ ability to understand the business problems facing non-profits in the region, and to have an agenda to discuss those problems. Although he has a few non-profit customers today, the depth of understanding he showed about the sector generally was outstanding. We have ourselves a great business partner in Singapore.
