NiUG Discovery conference - Great Things Award 2007 winner

The Great Things Award for 2007 was presented by me during the NiUG conference dinner on Thursday night 11th October. It was won for the second year in a row by The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), and the award was accepted in person by Kim Keane, the RACGP IT Manager.

The RACGP have done some great things with iMIS this year, including:

  • Great website built on iMIS Content Manager www.racgp.org.au
  • Advanced calendar search for events on the website
  • Ban Man Pro integration on website
  • Integration of iMIS to TRIM document management system
  • Integration of Google Maps into 'Find a practice'
  • Integration of MapData geographic analysis software
  • Addition of an online virtual museum
  • Addition of the online Continuous Professional Development (CPD) system.

A more detailed explanation of the RACGP great things, along with information on all the other entries are on the wiki page here. And see this blog post on the nomination process used for 2007.

Congratulations to Kim and the RACGP team on a back-to-back win!
