iMIS 15 rollout update for AP region

i15logo.jpg
The rollout of iMIS 15 for Asia-Pacific region is now well underway. A summary of activity is as follows:

Existing customers upgrading - over 70 customers in the US have now upgraded to iMIS 15, and so far 1 in Australia has - Clubs NSW). We are planning to have 30% of the local customer base upgraded to iMIS 15 by the end of 2008.

New customers - All new customers that bought iMIS in the 4th quarter of 2007 are either live or being implemented on iMIS 15. The first local customer to go live was CEDA (see here) just before Christmas.

Release kits and CDs - Are being mailed to customers this week and next week. Copies are available from Jennifer P if you want to take a look. A copy the cover letter is pasted in below.

Roadshows - Colin is taking a 'Preparing for iMIS 15' roadshow to selected capital cities in the coming weeks. Melbourne is first off the rank with the roadshow on today with 25 customers attending. The remaining schedule is: Perth 27 Feb, Wellington 5 Mar, Sydney 11 Mar, Brisbane 12 Mar. A copy of the presentation and handout is posted here. See www.advsol.com/ap/share for full roadshow details.

Webcasts - Webcasts continue every week on Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesdays 1.30pm - Intro to iMIS. Thursdays 1.30pm - topics vary each week - What's New in iMIS 15 (Feb 21), iMIS and the Web (Feb 28), iMIS Friendraising (Mar 6), iMIS and Communication (Mar 13). See www.advsol.com/ap/webcasts.

Pricing - The iMIS 15 pricing was published in December - copies available on the Sales portal www.advsol.com/sales. The pricing reflects the new licensing model of named users, which basically means the price per user has gone down. We have also taken the decision to pass on the savings as a result of the stronger Australian dollar and this has further reduced per user prices by almost 20%.

Licensing changes - With the release of iMIS 15 we are changing from concurrent users to named users. This is a necessary change for us as iMIS is now a web-based application using the Microsoft .NET user authentication model. It is causing customers a lot of confusion and it need not. We just want to make sure customers are properly licensed to use iMIS and we are being flexible for those 30 or 40 customers that will fall outside of the standard conversion rules.

Online documentation - We have made significant improvements to the way our websites are structured around iMIS product information. www.imis.com is the place to go for everything about iMIS - how to use iMIS and how to learn about iMIS. All iMIS manuals are now available publicly online - no password required! And that means Google can also get into the manuals to search them and this makes it easier for customers to search for iMIS help - see docs.imis.com.

Promotions for customers - We are offering promotional discounts of 30% off to give customers the opportunity to purchase additional users (including Public web users for the web modules) or to purchase the Process Manager module or any/all of the Marketing Suite modules (Acquisition Management, Campaign Management, RFM Analysis, Segmentation).

iMIS 15.0 Released!

Dear ...

Advanced Solutions International (ASI) is proud to announce that iMIS 15.0, the next evolution of iMIS is now available to the iMIS Community. Through our Release Candidate program, many iMIS customers are already using iMIS 15 and taking advantage of new and exciting features and capabilities. You can learn more about iMIS 15 by attending one of our weekly webcasts highlighting what’s new in iMIS 15.

iMIS 15.0 introduces a change to the iMIS licensing model from concurrent users to named users. This change means that you can determine not only who can access your iMIS system but also define the way in which they do so. The different levels of user types that provide this flexibility are:

  • Full User - Access to full spectrum of iMIS functionality.
  • Casual User (CRM) - Access to limited iMIS functionality. Users who may require this level of access include volunteers, chapter members, executives or other staff who do not process iMIS transactions
  • Public Users - Access to one’s own contact record. Users who may require this level of access include Members, Donors, and other constituents.

Some iMIS customers may be required to pay a licence conversion charge based on their current licence configuration in order to obtain the iMIS 15 Licence Key. Your Customer Care Manager is able to work this out for you and discuss any options. As part of our Customer for Life philosophy, our main aim is to help make this licence change as easy as possible.

A new way to view iMIS
iMIS 15 includes a new browser based user interface option available to all customers. This view is accessible by all user types (according to your current licensing). This release also includes an alternative to iMIS e-Series functionality, although iMIS e-Series remains compatible and part of iMIS 15.0.

New Features to help support your needs
iMIS 15 includes a streamlined installation process, unified login administration and expanded tailoring capabilities. Additional new and improved features are included in iMIS Process Manager, Marketing Suite and Fundraising Suite, Customer Management as well as other areas of the product. For more details, please refer to the enclosed New Features section.

Resouces to help you learn more about iMIS 15.0
A single iMIS installation CD also includes New Features and installation guides. iMIS Product Support is now available on one comprehensive website, www.imis.com. Here you can learn about iMIS and access support resources to better use iMIS. The help section of iMIS 15.0 is now web-based so you can also access directly from a web browser at docs.iMIS.com.

    Licence Conversion Process
In order to convert your current licence to named users, and therefore be able to upgrade to iMIS 15, you will need a new licence key. To receive a new licence key you must place a request for converting your licence with your Customer Care Manager. If you are planning to move to iMIS 15, this is your first step – contact ....
