Christmas party

The 2007 ASI-AP Christmas party has come and gone with about 65 of us ASI'ers and families riding the rails on Puffing Billy on Sunday. Since Shan is still in hospital my special date was Jasmin on her first party outing.

We left the office by bus just before 11 and arrived at Belgrave station about 40 minutes later. Then it was boarding onto the First Class dining carriages of Puffing Billy for a 12.20 departure up to Lakeside station. Lunch was served en route. After a bit of running around (or cycling around for some of us on the water bikes) we were back on the train to return home. Then back on the bus for a return to the office by around 4.30. And wow what a great day!

Our carriages

We had 3 carriages of the train to ourselves and we were able to walk between the carriages. And with better than expected food, some cold beers, and great company - by the time Jasmin and I got home we were exhausted. And that night Jazzie slept the longest she has slept yet.

It was extra special for me this year as we had the interstate ASI'ers join us in Melbourne. From Perth Stuart, Ang, Lucas, Keith and Alison. From Brisbane Julie. And from Sydney Jason, Dani, Xavier, Wyatt, Amanda K, Daniel, Peter and Kate.

There were quite a few people with camera's getting photos - and some especially good ones sent around yesterday by Marla in the weekly ASI-AP Update email. But if you want to see some of Jazzie with various ASI'ers then visit her photo album on Facebook (no login required).
