Review of the week Bob Alves was here

I have been pretty occupied over the past couple of weeks helping out the consulting team with their current workload spike so have not had a chance until now to write up the week that Bob visited. Bob arrived on the Monday morning and after checking into the hotel came over to the Melbourne office to join the 1pm pizza lunch and listened to the CEO quarterly briefing. The rest of Monday and into the evening was spent on rehearsals for the exec round table event.

Tuesday and Wednesday was down at the Sofitel at Weribee Mansions for the 2008 Executive Round Table Briefing. I will post about that event separately, but suffice to say Bob believed it was the best round table event yet.

Wednesday afternoon we had a break while David Riffle, Julie and I did an interview for the open sales exec position. Wednesday night Bob had a quick hello with Shan and Jaz for the obligatory blog photo!

Thursday morning we met up with Rod Dalglish - chairman of the NiUG iMIS user group in AP - to get an update on NiUG activity in the region and to share the news about ASI helping to fund NiUG membership fees for new customers and customers upgrading to iMIS 15. During the day we met to review the iBEF program following feedback from the exec round table event and started on my review. That evening we met for dinner with Andrew Stein from Donor Management to review the Open Alms to Donman conversion program and things that we need to continue to work on to make that program successful for customers that are not choosing to upgrade from Open Alms to iMIS.

Friday we completed my review and worked on strategies for the 2008-09 year and continued discussions on updating the iBEF program to make it scaleable globally. I will be posting about my review and strategies separately - as ASI-only staff posts - so you will need to login to read those. I will post a note when I have got those up.

Saturday we had a chance to play our tennis match before Bob flew out late Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately the tennis results were not positive and I lost in a third set tie breaker - which actually was a disappointing finish to what in fact was a great visit with Bob.
