I have completed SMART Company skills matrices and SMART STEP Training Plans for all my direct reports for the 2007 year. I found the new format easy to use and relevant to working towards our SMART Company goals.

We are embarking on significant program of formal management training in 2007 and 2008 - with each person in the management team completing a Graduate Certificate in Management from the Australian Institute of Management (AIM). The modules to be completed in 2007 include Managing, Leading and Developing People, Managing Operational Improvement and Managing Financial Resources. Each module includes 4 days of classroom training and a 5,000 word assignment.
