Submitted by Paul Ramsbottom on 10 August 2008 - 5:19pm Australian Film Institute website live with iMIS 15 .Net Content ManagerThe Australian Film Institute (AFI) purchased iMIS 15 earlier in the year. They went live with their back office system back in May to support their membership, events and the voting for the annual AFI Australian Film Awards - with Leo doing most of the project. For those that don't know much about the AFI, and if you like films, their annual membership of just $55 per year is a great deal - since it gives you discounts at all cinemas plus a chance to attend the screenings of Australian films in the lead up to the awards. This week they launched their new .Net website - www.afi.org.au - using the iMIS 15 Content Manager module. The website was implemented in just a few weeks by Nasser and his team at Avion Software. This week was a soft launch with just content only available so far; later in the month the functional pieces we be added including the member only area, online join, online renewals and other functions for competition and voting registration.

Submitted by Paul Ramsbottom on 10 August 2008 - 5:08pm Leukaemia Foundation go live with iMIS FriendraisingOne of our newest iMIS Friendraising customers took their first event live on the Friendraising platform last week. The event called "Light the Night" can be found here. You can tell it is an iMIS Friendraising site by looking at the URL - note the secure.imisfriendraising.com.au domain once you go past the initial landing page. Vanessa spoke very highly of the LF team who have been running Friendraising-style events for over 6 years (World's Greatest Shave being their biggest!) and are very experienced in what they want and how they want it. The implementation was completed in just a few weeks.

Submitted by Paul Ramsbottom on 29 February 2008 - 5:42pm ASI launches new look websitesThanks to dedicated efforts of courage and excellence from our marketing and IT teams, the new ASI websites are live. Using our own iMIS Content Manager, the upgrade went smoothly and to time over the weekend. Of particular note is the launch of the new iMIS Product Portal website. In our new site architecture, everything you need to know about learning and using iMIS can be found at the www.advsol.com/iMIS product portal (in our previous design, iMIS product information was scattered throughout the corporate ASI website). You will also note that the iMIS Product Portal website matches the interface used in iMIS 15, so that we can deliver a consistent and seamless experience across our products and websites.

Submitted by Paul Ramsbottom on 12 February 2007 - 9:35am AIM Vic/Tas celebration lunch todayMarilyn, Mick and I attended an all-staff lunch at AIM Vic/Tas today. The purpose of the lunch was to celebrate the success of the iMIS project and the successes of AIM generally in the 2006 year. About 60 people all up were in attendance, and included an opening address by the AIM CEO and a follow up vote of thanks from the AIM President/Chairman. Susan (AIM's CEO) gave particular thanks to Eddie and the AIM/IMS project team, and made special mention of our own Marilyn as being outstanding. Richard (AIM's President), who is a Partner at KPMG, also made special mention of the iMIS project, and in particular that it was delivered on-time and on-budget, and just how important that was to the Board and the organisation generally. He has been involved before in numerous IT/CRM implementations and knew from experience what a challenge they can be, so his congratulations to the project team were from a position of knowledge.
